A faculty member is free to examine or endorse unpopular or controversial ideas appropriate to course content, and the course content is delineated in the course outlines. The collective bargaining agreements on academic freedom and responsibility state that 'faculty members shall attempt to be accurate, objective, and show respect for the opinions of others."
